Can your choice of glove help improve the operational efficiency of your business?
Katermaster outlines the operational benefits of their new NitraOne glove below.
Reduced Ordering Frequency / Operational Activities
In a busy hospitality environment, staff are generally time poor. Any reduction in time spent on placing orders, receiving orders, putting away stock, refilling stock, and disposing of packaging, means more time spent on servicing your customers.
The standard vinyl glove packaging holds 1,000 gloves per carton. In comparison, the NitraOne glove packaging holds 3,000 gloves per carton which reduces glove re-orders by 67%
One of the common issues for hospitality businesses is limited storage space, so it is a constant challenge to find the right balance of stock holdings across multiple products. Katermaster has taken this into consideration when creating the packaging for the NitraOne glove – its packaging takes up less than half of the space per glove than a standard vinyl glove.
A standard vinyl glove carton takes up approximately 0.0198 m2 per 1,000 gloves, whilst the NitraOne glove packaging only takes up 0.0095 m2 per 1,000 gloves.
Reduced Packaging Waste
With sustainability being a growing focus, Katermaster is constantly looking for ways to reduce the impact of their products on the environment. Avoidance and reduction of waste production is the key. NitraOne gives you the opportunity to reduce your glove packaging waste without compromising either glove quality or food safety.
The combined weight of the average glove packaging (the outer carton and its 10 inner boxes) is approximately 500g (0.0005 tonnes). Therefore, a tonne of paper can be measured as approximately 2,000 cartons of standard glove packaging, which equals 2 million gloves. In comparison, if you used 2 million NitraOne gloves, this would equate to only 667 cartons, and 1/3 of a tonne of paper/packaging waste.
